CALL OF THE FOREST Installation

This was a site-specific installation that explored the tabletop-as-landscape. Expectations of a formal table set for entertaining were deconstructed, using unique dishes, placemats and napkins, in a composed mossy, rock and mushroom-strewn tabletop landscape that contained various visual rhythms, crescendos and trills. Large scale photographs hung on the studio walls showed flatware standing atop mossy cubes like trees in a geometric forest. Medicinal mushroom coffees and drinks were provided by the Four Sigmatic company and essential oils were diffused in the installation for added atmosphere.
